Tavern
on Jane was there, you'd probably pass it by - and most of the regulars
probably wouldn't mind.
But once you find it, you'll be glad you did. Quiet, solid, and dependable
as a great neighborhood restaurant should be, Tavern on Jane treats
solo diners like friends; you'll see at least one or two fellow travelers
in the darkish but comfy dining room on any given night.
Once settled in, pay close attention to the specials, which are usually
winners.
The regular menu's alluring too, with updated comfort food like roast
chicken with garlic mashed potatoes, mixed green salad with marinated,
grilled steak, and pastas. You'll feel comfortable lingering here
for a while, so leave room for dessert."
